The Eskay Factor
That which is synonymous to
happiness, mokkai, work,
music, games and more
The Eskay Factor is a blend of humour, work, musical journey, games, academic pursuits and loads of fun, converging to form Eskay, the name by which I am affectionately called.
DISCOVERING ESKAY
I’m Karthik Sankar, a young 19 year old Indian living in two worlds, the real world and the virtual one.
The real world identifies me as a third year undergraduate, studying Computer Science at National Institute of Technology, Trichy. I reside in Thanjavur, the temple city in Tamil Nadu. But I have two other residences, the hostel and the computer lab.
The virtual world traces me through my blogs, website, email and other digital means. This is where strings of data from my brain concatenate and transform into keystrokes which are then shared across the network for the world to have a glimpse of Eskay.
MY PASSIONS
Among my various passions, music features first. I am a violinist, disciple of violin maestro Padmashri (late) Dr. Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan. I have been performing various concerts in South India for the past few years.
Teaching is one of my passions. I love teaching students, explaining concepts, quoting analogies and creating interest in the topic I am talking about. I have conducted various seminars for school students in Trichy and Madurai. I also organize workshops and conduct classes for my fellow students in my college.
I dont know from when I sarted watching movies frequently, but now I have become a movie freak. Watching movies has become something like a habit. One movie per day, especially during semesters. And I dont run out of movies either!!..
Give me a Jeffrey Archer book and a chair to sit, and I would transport myself into a new world of mine. I read books by Sheldon, Ludlum, Archer, and many others. But now I am shifting my focus to articles on computers, Indian economy, technology, etc.
And the most important of all, computers. And what do I do with it ? — blogging, designing, programming, browsing, gaming, chatting… I spend most of my time in front of laptop. And when it comes to screwing up my laptop, be it in windows or linux or solaris … I love it .. ( as long as I am sure that I can fix it )
